A band of rain spoiled much of the morning, but drier conditions arrived by lunchtime, winds from the southwest.
At La Sente today were 2 Shelduck, 63 Redshanks, 5 Greenshanks, 2 Snipe and a Common Gull and in Fauvic, by Verona Stores was a flock of 35 Cattle Egrets.
Brief early passage past Corbiere ahead of the rain, included 3 Shelduck heading North, a Common Scoter, A Guillemot, 24 Brent Geese, 9 Gannets, a Fulmar, 4 Cormorants, 9 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 66 Great Black-backed Gulls and a Little Egret, with 68 Brent Geese in Petit Port Bay.
On St Ouen's Pond were 15 Shovelers, 14 Wigeon, 3 Tufted Ducks, 3 Little Grebes and 75 Brent Geese and a Snipe was near the Cutty Sark. Behind the Vic in the Valley, in St Peter's Valley was a pair of Sparrowhawk harassing a Marsh Harrier, also a Buzzard.
In Beaumont Marsh were 17 pale-bellied Brent Geese, 4 Linnets and 2 Song Thrushes and on the beach at La Haule were 50 dark-bellied Brent Geese, 12 Mediterranean Gulls and 2 Curlews.
The male and ring-tailed Hen Harriers were at Crabbe for another day, with 2 Ravens and 3 Choughs also there.
At Le Huquet in St Martin, 12 Greenfinches visited a garden feeder. 3 Cattle Egrets were at Seymour, a Black Redstart was at La Rcque and a Great Crested Grebe plus a Pied Wagtail were at Havre des Pas. At the Zoo were 5 Redwings, at Mont a l'Abbe were 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 280 Crows and in Vallee des Vaux was a Firecrest and a Raven flying over. Also over Vallee des Vaux tonight were 12 Woodcock including a pair displaying
