Grouville Bay comes into its own between September and March when impressive numbers of waders, Brent Geese, Gulls and Terns pass through, or stay to winter. The tidal range ensures a constant supply of food to attract these birds. Best viewed two hours after the high tide, as flocks of waders fly back onto the shoreline from their roosts. Low tide visits would require a long beach walk to reach the birds.
Continue north from La Rocque Harbour on La Grande Route des Sablons, stopping to view from the various slipways at Seymour, Le Hurel and Gorey.
