Plemont is best known as the place to see Puffins in Jersey, but with only a tiny population, that is not always possible. Look down from the cliff path for birds rafting close in. Razorbills will be present at the same time of year. Fulmars nest in good numbers all along this coast and Gannets often feed close inshore, as do Manx Shearwaters on occasions. The area where the giant Puffins can be good for migrant birds in Spring and Autumn. Swifts nest on the headland between May and August.
Leave Les Landes eastwards along the north coast road, La Rue du Val Bechelier to Portinfer. Turn north onto La Route de Plemont, opposite the Café Ouen and drive to the car park at the end, near the giant National Trust Puffins. The coastal walking trail leaves the end car park eastwards, from where it may be possible to see the auks below.
