04.12.2024 A mixed flock of Grey Plover and Dunlin at La Rocque yesterday. Can you spot the Dutch colour-ringed Dunlin? RdC
A sunny but fresh morning then mostly cloudy throughout the day and a light westerly wind.
Seen around La Rocque this morning were 370 Dunlin, 400 Sanderling, 110 Grey Plover, 42 Turnstone, 13 Ringed Plover and 4 Redshank.
At Beaumont Marsh were 8 Snipe, 2 Shoveler, a Teal, a Grey Wagtail and 6 Redwing while in Trinity Orchard were 6 Fieldfare and 12 Redwing.
Out West the Bittern was seen at St Ouens Pond, the Hoopoe was still near to Jersey Pearl and 2 Purple Sandpiper were at Sorel.

02.12.2024 Unfortunately there's been no further sightings of the Black-winged Kite , but that doesn't mean we can enjoy these fantastic shots taken by Ray Jones . Another mixed day with sunny spells and showers and a strong north-westerly wind.
01.12.2024 Jersey's second ever Black-winged Kite made a brief appearance at the Scrape this afternoon. Here it is being harassed by a pair of Magpie . Many thanks to Tom Frazer for this brilliant photo. A mild sunny day with the odd shower to start December off nicely.
