A mild cloudy day with a strong south westerly wind
At Pontac this afternoon were 185 Black-headed Gull, 11 Mediterranean Gull and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull while roosting at Petit Port were another 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Purple Sandpiper, 16 Grey Plover, 91 Oystercatcher, 25 Turnstone, 25 Curlew, 31 Brent Geese, a Kingfisher and a Grey Seal.
A new Coal Tit was seen visiting a feeder in a garden in St Brelades Bay this afternoon. I wonder how long its been on the island unnoticed? other garden visitors were 4 Blackcap in a garden at Beauport and a male Black Redstart was again visiting a feeder in St Peters Village.
2 Cattle Egret were at Maufant.
At St Aubin were 40 Redshank and 15 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, along Ruelle es Ruaux were 425 Brent Geese and at Beaumont Marsh were 4 Shoveler, 13 Snipe, 2 Little Egret and 2 Raven.
