05.02.2024 A handsome Mediterranean Gull getting into his summer suit, taken in St Ouens Bay recently RdC

An overcast day with a few showers and a south westerly wind

Seen around St Ouen's Pond this morning were a Bittern, 17 Wigeon, 6 Shoveler, a Pochard, 3 Tufted Duck, a Little Grebe, the Hen Harrier, 42 Lapwing, 9 Snipe, 8 Coot and a Grey Heron.

La Sente held 200 Brent Geese, 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 47 Redshank, 4 Greenshank, 12 Cattle Egret, 43 Little Egret and 15 Grey Heron while nearby at Pontac were 236 Black-headed Gull and a Mediterranean Gull.

At Beaumont Marsh were 225 Brent Geese, 4 Shoveler, 16 Snipe and 2 Cattle Egret and along Ruelle es Ruaux 140 Brent Geese with another 18 near the Gunsite.

In an orchard near the Union Inn were 30 Fieldfare and 15 Redwing and 2 Siskin were at Sion
