06.12.2024 One of two female Shoveler feeding at La Sente RdC
A mostly sunny day, clouding over this afternoon before the arrival of Storm Darragh.
Seen on the high tide at La Rocque today were 500 Dunlin, 250 Sanderling, 134 Grey Plover, 7 Ringed Plover, 66 Redshank, 86 Turnstone, a Kingfisher and a Black Redstart while in Grouville Bay were 776 Brent Geese and 3 Great Crested Grebe and nearby at La Sente were 38 Brent Geese including a Pale-bellied, 2 Shoveler, 9 Redshank, 2 Cattle Egret, a Mediterranean Gull, 65 Black-headed Gull, 2 Marsh Harrier, 20 Redwing, a Fieldfare and 50 Chaffinch.
In the conservation fields on Mont Cochon were 300 Chaffinch, 30 Goldfinch, 8 Redwing and a Little Egret.
In St Ouens Bay 45 Ringed Plover, 9 Dunlin and 3 Sanderling were near Sands, 17 Shoveler were on the pond, the Hoopoe was by Jersey Pearl and 3 Stonechat were at L'Etacq.
