11.02.2024 The Barnacle Goose coming onto land at La Sente with a Brent Goose for company. It hasn't been seen for a while now so maybe it has left? RdC
A cloudy day with a few sunny spells and a strong north westerly wind.
Seen passing Corbiere this morning were 55 Kittiwake, 300 Razorbill, 30 Guillemot, 50 Gannet and 8 Fulmar.
On St Ouen's Pond were 16 Wigeon, 7 Shoveler, a Little Grebe and 200 Brent Geese and on the Scrape were a Redshank and the Pink-footed Goose.
In the Sandpits were 6 Pochard, 11 Tufted Duck, 10 Little Grebe, 6 Cormorant, 3 Oystercatcher and 11 Great Black-backed Gull.
At Beaumont were 500 Brent Geese which included 20 Pale-bellied, 3 Shoveler, a Teal and a Curlew.
At La Sente this afternoon were 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 22 Cattle Egret, 14 Little Egret and 2 Song Thrush while at Queen's Valley were a Kingfisher and a Grey Wagtail.
