12.02.2024 A male Teal relaxing at St Ouen's Pond RdC

A sunny day with a light north westerly wind

Seen at La Sente this morning were 162 Brent Geese, 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 62 Redshank, 4 Greenshank, a Snipe, 2 Mediterranean Gull, 4 Black-headed Gull (strangely all oiled), 14 Cattle Egret, 12 Little Egret and 7 Grey Heron, at Fauvic were another 15 Cattle Egret and 150 Black-headed Gull were at La Rocque.

At St Ouen's Pond were a Guillemot!, 12 Wigeon, 16 Teal, 9 Shoveler, 5 Snipe, the Hen Harrier, a Cetti's Warbler and a Kingfisher while roosting ta Petit Port were 40 Curlew, 42 Oystercatcher and 6 Little Egret.

28 Cattle Egret were with Cattle near Maufant and at Beaumont Marsh were 380 Brent Geese, 4 Shoveler, a Teal and 4 Snipe.

At Le Catillon was a Common Gull, 14 Tufted Duck were at Grands Vaux and in Vallee des Vaux were 2 Siskin, 6 Bullfinch, 20 Redwing, a Grey Wagtail, a Sparrowhawk and 6 Woodcock.
