A cloudy cooler day with strong winds from the north east.
Passing over Victoria Tower this morning were a late Swallow, 2 Hawfinch, 2 Mistle Thrush, 2,958 Redwing, 178 Fieldfare, 45 Song Thrush, 2 Blackbird, 2 Skylark, 10,242 Starling, 4,770 Wood Pigeon, 13 Stock Dove, 2 Lapwing, 89 Chaffinch, 2 Brambling and 9 Goldfinch.
In St Catherine's woods were 150 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, 8 Blackbird, 4 Firecrest, 2 Goldcrest, a Merlin and a Kingfisher while 200 Starling were on Mont au Pretre.
Out west at St Ouens Pond were the Bittern, a Wigeon, 21 Shoveler, 6 Teal, 40 Lapwing, 5 Snipe, 19 Marsh Harrier, a Water Pipit , 7 Redwing, 9 Chaffinch, 10 Linnet, 2 Reed Bunting, 2 Chough, 300 Starling, a Water Rail and 2 Cormorant while in the Sandpits were 6 Tufted Duck, 58 Mallard, 8 Little Grebe, 3 Grey Heron and 15 Chough.
A Shelduck was at Corbiere, 50 Chaffinch and a Skylark were at Les Creux, a pale Buzzard was over St Brelades Church and at Gorselands were 2 Fieldfare, 2 Redwing, 2 Skylark and a singing Dartford Warbler.
40 Redwing and a Fieldfare were at Five Oaks and a Grey Wagtail was at St Aubin.
