11.11.2024 A recent Song Thrush which are still moving through in good numbers MD
A clear start to the day soon turned cloudy with showers and a north to north-easterly wind.
It was another good day of migration over Victoria Tower with counts of 2 Hawfinch, a Ring Ouzel, 6,937 Redwing, 441 Fieldfare, 6 Mistle Thrush, 67 Song Thrush, 17 Blackbird, 13 Skylark, 500 Starling, 8 Lapwing, 7,480 Wood Pigeon, 222 Stock Dove, 177 Chaffinch, 6 Brambling, 2 Redpoll, 26 Goldfinch, 9 Greenfinch, 2 Siskin, 6 Meadow Pipit, 2 Pied Wagtail, 4 Cattle Egret and 6 Lesser Black-backed Gull with 2 Firecrest also in the bushes there.
Seen from Seymour were 550 Brent Geese, 220 Sanderling, 136 Dunlin, 27 Grey Plover, 8 Ringed Plover, 8 Turnstone and 2 Greenshank while a Merlin was at La Rocque.
At St Ouens Pond were a male Hen Harrier, a Bittern, a Little Grebe, a Water Pipit, 7 Teal, 24 Shoveler, 2 Water Rail, 3 Grey Heron and 2 Reed Bunting.
Up at GROW near Surville were 60 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, 5 Blackbird, 30 Goldfinch, 6 Chaffinch and 3 Pied Wagtail while at Cowley Farm were 16 Cattle Egret.
Yesterday 190 Brent Geese which included 40 Pale-bellied were at St Aubins.
