13.07.2024 A good number of juvenile Black-headed Gulls are starting to arrive here now, this one was in Grouville Bay RdC
A warm sunny day with a light north-westerly wind.
Seen on the Scrape this morning were the Shelduck family, 12 Lapwing and 2 Sedge Warbler while on the Pond were 2 Shoveler, a Water Rail, 2 Swift, a juvenile Cetti's Warbler and a Peregrine.
Off Grosnez were 5 Mediterranean Gull, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Guillemot and 5 Chough and at Le Pulec were 13 Little Egret, 18 Cormorant, 39 Curlew and 4 Oystercatcher.
16 White Wagtail were on the Farmers cricket field.
Yesterday on the Ecrehous were 2 Roseate Tern and 100 Sandwich Tern.
Evening update: At Corbiere this evening were the first juvenile Yellow-legged Gull of the autumn, 35 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 24 Great Black-backed Gull and 130 Herring Gull while at Petit Port were 8 Mediterranean Gull, a Black-headed Gull, 17 Curlew, and a Little Egret.
A Grasshopper Warbler was heard reeling in a hedgerow near to St Peters Village.
