A fair to fine day in anticyclonic conditions, feeling cool at 17c in a light north-northeast wind
A juvenile Sabine's Gull was seen and photographed 3 miles off of Corbiere this afternoon.
Counts at Noirmont this morning included 2 Brent Geese arriving from the West, a Spotted Flycatcher, 425 Swallows, 58 House Martins, 12 Sand Martins, 37 Yellow Wagtails, 3 Grey Wagtails, 7 alba Wagtails, 4 Tree Pipits, 156 Meadow Pipits, a Wheatear, 3 Willow Warblers, 5 Chiffchaffs, 3 Whitethroats, 6 Blackcaps, 5 Goldcrests, 2 Grey Herons, a Peregrine, 2 Ravens, a Chough, 2 Jackdaws, a Marsh Harrier and a Sparrowhawk.
In St Aubin's Bay were 4 Brent Geese at the Gunsite, a Wheatear at First Tower, 30 mixed Swallows and House Martins plus a Sparrowhawk at Beaumont Marsh and 2 Kingfishers in the St Helier Marina.
In St Ouen's Bay, 24 Little Grebes and a Great Crested Grebe were on the Sandpits, but the Black Tern was not seen there, and 6 Wheatears were north of St Ouen's Pond. 20 Swallows were feeding at the bottom of Mont Matthieu.
At Les Landes this afternoon were 4 Wheatears, 3 Stonechats and 6 Choughs and at Petit Port were 28 Curlews, 36 Sandwich Terns, 6 Mediterranean Gulls, 10 Black-headed Gulls and 2 Choughs.
In Vallee des Vaux this morning were 8 Blackcaps, 4 Chiffchaffs and a Firecrest.
