A fair day with a cool feel in a moderate northwest wind
Focus was on Noirmont today, with the first reasonable day for visible migration for some time. Birds passing there through the morning included 288 Swallows, 10 House Martins, 6 Sand Martins, 21 Yellow Wagtails, 2 Grey Wagtails, 3 alba Wagtails, 3 Tree Pipits, 130 Meadow Pipits, a Cattle Egret, a Whinchat, 7 Wheatears, 2 Stonechats, 1 bunting sp, a Chaffinch, 2 Whitethroats, a Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaffs and 2 Blackcaps, also 3 Dartford Warblers, 45 Linnets, an immature Peregrine, a Raven and 2 Choughs.
The Black Tern was still in the Sandpits and at Petit Port were 25 Curlews, 28 Great Black-backed Gulls and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls
4 Wheatears were at Corbiere
In the Sandpits this afternoon, the Black Tern was still present along with 14 Little Grebes, 2 Great Crested Grebes, 12 Tufted Duck, 5 Mediterranean Gulls, a Common Sandpiper, a White Wagtail, a Sand Martin and a Sparrowhawk.
Grouville Bay held 4 Brent Geese .
