A fair day with high cloud and a southwest wind, still feeling warm at 22c.

Yesterday's Red-backed Shrike spent a second day at Noirmont in the same location and also seen on the ground there were a Redstart, 3 Wheatears, 4 Stonechats, 5+ Willow Warblers and an hippolais warbler, possibly a Melodious Warbler, which evaded identification. It was still very quiet there for visible migrants with just 9 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 12 Swallows and a Sand Martin of note.

Early passage past Corbiere involved 203 Manx Shearwaters, 25 Balearic Shearwaters, 5 Fulmars, 22 Gannets, 20 Mediterranean Gull, 24 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 6 Black-headed Gulls, a Whimbrel, 10 unidentified waders ( probably also Whimbrels), 7 House Martins and a Peregrine.

In Petit Port later morning, were 21 Mediterranean Gulls, 15 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 2 Sandwich Terns and 28 Curlews and in St Ouen's Bay were 75 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 54 Great Black-backed Gulls.

Around St Ouen's Pond were 12 Sedge Warblers, 3 Willow Warblers, 15 Reed Warblers, 15 Swallows, 15 House Martins, 7 Swifts, a Stonechat, 7 Shovelers,  2 Teal, a Greenshank, a Barn Owl and a Sparrowhawk. On the Scrape were 6 Teal, 5 Shovelers, a Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper and a Water Rail. On Mont Matthieu were 4 Little Grebes, 4 Swifts, 25 House Martins, 20 Swallows and 60 Linnets.
