19.02.2024 A Grey Plover roosting at Petit Port recently RdC
A cloudy day with the odd shower and a north westerly wind
Seen at St Ouen's Pond were 16 Wigeon, a Gadwall, 16 Shoveler, a Pochard, a Little Grebe, 2 Snipe, 230 Brent Geese and 4 Stonechat while at Kempt Tower were 7 Tufted Duck and a Little Grebe and at Petit Port were 38 Curlew, a Shelduck, a Yellow-legged Gull, a Lesser Black-backed Gull and 3 Cormorant.
In the town Harbour were 18 Lesser Black-backed Gull and at Gorey were 5 Common Gull.
At La Sente were 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 2 Moorhen, a Coot, 42 Black-headed Gull, a Common Gull, 58 Redshank, 5 Greenshank, 15 Grey Heron, 11 Little Egret and a Raven.
At La Rocque were 150 Brent Geese, a Black-necked Grebe and 46 Grey Plover, 10 Red-breasted Merganser were at Pontac and in Grouville Bay were 14 Great Crested Grebe and 3 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
On Les Ormes golf course were a singing Song Thrush, a Goldcrest and 2 Peregrine and at Beaumont Marsh 470 Brent Geese, 4 Shoveler, a Teal, 9 Snipe, a Curlew and 3 Song Thrush.
Yesterday in Vallee des Vaux were 7 Bullfinch, 2 Siskin, a Firecrest and 9 Woodcock.
