18.02.2024 A trio of Curlews on a fly past of La Rocque, thanks to Tom Frazer

A foggy day with almost constant rain or drizzle

Seen at La Sente this morning were a Common Gull, 2 Mediterranean Gull, 97 Black-headed Gull, 2 Shoveler, 300 Brent Geese, 56 Redshank, 9 Greenshank, 12 Curlew, 15 Cattle Egret, 8 Little Egret, 8 Grey Heron, and 17 Pied Wagtail while nearby in Causie lane were another 200 Brent Geese, including one Pale-bellied and at La Rocque were a Shelduck and 4 Red-breasted Merganser.

Early afternoon, 17 Cattle Egret were along Rue du Parcq and another 19 on Route de Francheville.

At Petit Port were 2 Red-breasted Merganser, a Yellow-legged Gull, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Shelduck, 6 Grey Plover and 40 Curlew.

Seen at La Ferme Farm were 53 Redwing, 2 Fieldfare, 100 Chaffinch, 14 Pied Wagtail, a Common Gull and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull while at Grands Vaux were 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 45 Black-headed Gull and 4 Tufted Duck.

11 Fieldfare were at Trinity Manor and 2 Tufted Duck, 2 Coot and 30 Mallard were on La Hague Reservoir.

Beaumont Marsh held 4 Shoveler, a Teal, 15 Snipe, a Curlew, 2 Little Egret and 465 Brent Geese were along Ruelle es Ruaux.
