A mild day with a light south westerly wind
Seen at La Sente were 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 150 Brent Geese, 35 Cattle Egret, 36 Little Egret, 60 Redshank and 5 Greenshank while nearby in Grouville Bay were 184 Grey Plover, 350 Dunlin, 68 Sanderling, 8 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Redshank, 8 Turnstone and 180 Brent Geese.
At Beaumont Marsh were 165 Brent Geese, 3 Shoveler, a Teal, a Curlew, 2 Little Egret, 2 Firecrest and a Goldcrest.
The Bittern was seen from the Wetlands Centre and the first Mallard family was seen nearby with at least 15 ducklings in tow!
Roosting at Petit Port were a Shelduck, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Mediterranean Gull, 32 Curlew, a Red-breasted Merganser and 21 Gannet were seen offshore of Plemont Point.
At Grouville Marsh were 3 Chiffchaff, including a 'sooty-nosed' bird, a sign of migration starting, a Short-eared Owl, 30 Reed Bunting, a Firecrest, 6 Cetti's Warbler, 4 Teal, 2 Woodcock, 6 Water Rail, 2 Raven and 2 Marsh Harrier while in Vallee des Vaux were a Fieldfare, 5 Redwing, 12 Siskin and 2 Raven.
