A clear day with some high cloud, becoming warm in a fresh east-northeast wind.
On Les Ecrehous today, along with the breeding Common Terns, were 41 Sandwich Terns, 2 Little Egrets and a Crow.
Passing Corbiere this morning were 25 Manx Shearwaters, 8 Balearic Shearwaters, 2 Shelduck, 7 Guillemots, 2 Razorbills, 35 Gannets, 7 Fulmars, 9 Cormorants, 4 Black-headed Gulls, 8 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 2 Kittiwakes a Swallow and a White Wagtail. A single female Shelduck was at Petit Port and at Noirmont were another female Shelduck, a singing Dartford Warbler and a singing Whitethroat. A pair of White Wagtails were at the Airport this morning.
At Kempt Tower pools were a family of 3 Little Grebes including a fully grown juvenile, also 4 juvenile Stonechats and a Whitethroat. At the top of Mont Matthieu were 2 Choughs, 3 Jackdaws and a male Marsh Harrier.
In St Peter's Valley were Goldcrests with fledged young, Short-toed Treecreepers, 2 Song Thrushes and a Buzzard and at the bottom of Waterworks Valley, near Millbrook, was a singing Reed Warbler.
Yesterday 3 newly fledged Kestrels were seen at Le Hocq.
