Jersey Birds

Seen around La Rocque this morning were a Great Northern Diver, 11 Red-breasted Merganser, 38 Redshank, 67 Grey Plover, 97 Oystercatcher, 180 Sanderling, 260 Dunlin, 2 Black Redstart and a Kingfisher.

Passing Victoria Tower first thing were 3,500 Starling, 38 Fieldfare, 34 Redwing, 9 Song Thrush, 6 Blackbird, 108 Woodpigeon, 4 Stock Dove, 107 Chaffinch, a Brambling, 41 Goldfinch, 11 Greenfinch and 6 Meadow Pipit while 6 Cattle Egret were at Cowley Farm.

Seen at St Ouens Pond were a Short-eared Owl, the Bittern, 28 Lapwing, 19 Snipe, 3 Shoveler, a Grey Heron, 2 Marsh Harrier and a Water Rail while nearby on Sands slip were 38 Ringed Plover and 2 Sanderling.
