22.01.2024 The White-fronted Goose of the Russian subspecies 'albifrons' coming into land on the Scrape, beautifully captured by Jane Richardson.


A mainly sunny day with a few showers and a strong westerly wind.


Seen at St Ouen's Pond today were a Bittern, the Hen Harrier, 220 Lapwing, 18 Wigeon, 250 Brent Geese and a Peregrine while along Rue des Hetres were 200 Starling and 15 Pied Wagtail.


Beaumont Marsh held 135 Brent Geese, 5 Shoveler, a Curlew, 5 Snipe and 2 Little Egret.


At La Sente were 2 Shelduck, 250 Brent Geese, 58 Redshank, 5 Greenshank, 35 Little Egret and 17 Grey Heron with 24 Ringed Plover and a Great Crested Grebe at La Rocque.


Male Black Redstarts were seen at Harve des Pas and La Collette and 2 Woodcock were in Vallee des Vaux.
