26.11.2024 One of many Chaffinch that are taking advantage of the seeds in stubble fields RdC


A mostly cloudy day with a light south westerly wind


Seen at La Sente this afternoon were 16 Redshank, 24 Brent Geese, 23 Little Egret, 23 Grey Heron, 14 Black-headed Gull  and 3 Pied Wagtail  while 13 Cattle Egret  were in fields near St Saviours hospital.


At La Rocque were 175 Oystercatcher, 100 Dunlin, 250 Sanderling, 45 Grey Plover, 27 Curlew, 91 Brent Geese, 3 Red-breasted Merganser, a Great Crested Grebe and a Kingfisher while in the fields nearby were 60 Starling, 4 Redwing and 130 Carrion Crow.


In a stubble field near Les Creux were 200 Chaffinch  and over Gorselands were 130 Starling, with a Kingfisher  in St Aubins harbour.

16.11.2024 This Caspian Gull seen in St Ouens Bay recently was ringed as a chick just south of Warsaw in Poland back in 2021. It is also the first time one has been seen that isn't a first or second winter. RdC A cloudy day with a very light south-easterly wind
