A dry and increasingly sunny day in a light northwest wind.
There was a good selection of species around St Ouen's Pond this morning including arriving migrants , and recorded on the north side of the Pond were 600 Swallows and 40 Sand Martins out of a roost, 20 House Martins and 15 Swifts, 80 Reed Warblers, 70 Sedge Warblers, 3 Willow Warblers, 6 Chiffchaffs, 5 Blackcaps, 15 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Stonechats, a Skylark, a singing Reed Warbler, a Kingfisher, a Water Rail, a Green Sandpiper, a Snipe, 2 Grey Herons, 8 Little Egrets, 2 Ravens, a pale-phased Buzzard, 3 juvenile Marsh Harriers, a Sparrowhawk and also, a Barn Owl in flight near the Jersey Pearl.
At La Pulente were the family of five Shelduck, 10 Little Egrets and 7 Black-headed Gulls and at Petit Port were 24 Mediterranean Gulls, 2 Black-headed Gulls, 2 Sandwich Terns and 2 Little Egrets.
There was little by way of seabird movement past Corbiere this morning with just 66 Gannets, 2 Fulmars, 6 Cormorants, 4 Mediterranean Gulls, 8 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a Whimbrel seen. 2 Ravens were on the headland and a loose group of c 15 Bottle-nosed Dolphins were feeding close in. 15 Sandwich Terns were feeding in St Aubin's Bay at the western end.
Seen at Noirmont mid-morning were 5 Sand Martins, 6 Swallows, 4 Stonechats, a White Wagtail, a Dartford Warbler, 5 Chiffchaffs, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Sparrowhawk and 10 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
Seen on a trip between Jersey and Sark were 2
Storm Petrels, 8

Sandwich Terns.
