A mainly dry morning with some showers this afternoon, still cool in a south-southwest wind
Another busy morning at Corbiere saw 465 Manx Shearwaters, a Shelduck, 3 Eiders, a Common Scoter, a Brent Goose, 191 Guillemots, 9 Razorbills, 9 Fulmars, 26 Gannets, 9 Cormorants, 6 Little Gulls, 49 Kittiwakes, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 6 Common Terns, 21 Sandwich Terns, 13 Turnstones, a White Wagtail, an unidentified warbler sp off the sea and a Grey Seal, during a morning-long seawatch. At Petit Port were 11 Brent Geese, 2 Curlews, 2 Shelduck, 20 Turnstones and a Little Egret.
New at La Sente this morning was a Black-tailed Godwit and also present were 2 Shelduck, 8 Black-headed Gulls, a Common Gull, 4 Cattle Egrets, 26 Little Egrets, 2 Greenshanks, a Redwing, 2 Swallows and 12 White Wagtails. Also new in were 2 House Martins, circling over a possible breeding site in St Clement. A Willow Warbler was at Grouville Marsh.
On St Ouen's Pond were 18 Shovelers, 5 Tufted Ducks, a Water Pipit, 2 Lapwings, and a pair of Oystercatchers and a ring-tailed Hen Harrier was seen to the North of the Pond. 4 Swallows were seen over La Moye Golf Course. At Plemont were 35 Fulmars, 31 Razorbills, 9 Oystercatchers and a pair of Raven. Good numbers of Meadow Pipits were feeding at Les Landes. 98 Brent Geese and 4 Redshanks were at St Aubin.
14 Buzzards were standing in fields at La Hougue Bie and in Vallee des Vaux were a Peregrine, a Marsh Harrier, 4 Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Raven, 5 Bullfinches, 2 Siskins and a Blackcap.
