
06.06.2024 Lesser Black-backed Gull at Corbiere MD
A fair to fine day in a light northwest wind
A brief flurry of birds past Corbiere first thing included 9 Common Scoters, 10 Guillemots, 4 Manx Shearwaters, 3 Fulmars, 19 Gannets, and 3 Cormorants. 9 Chough were present again on the headland there. Overnight, 3 Storm Petrels were trapped and released at Corbiere, one already wearing a London ring.
Along the North coast were 4 Puffins, 6 Razorbills and 2 Peregrines.
At Kempt Tower pools, Whitethroats were seen carrying food for young with Blackcaps also calling there.
On Grouville Common were 2 singing Cirl Buntings and Kestrels with 2 young.
