A cloudy day with a moderate easterly wind
Seen passing Corbiere this morning were 5 Common Scoter, 72 Brent Geese, 110 Razorbill, 19 Guillemot, 18 Gannet, a Fulmar, 86 Kittiwake, 14 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 31 Great Black-backed Gull and a Peregrine which was chasing a Meadow Pipit! Nearby at Petit Port were 12 Curlew.
Around St Ouen's Pond were a male Wheatear, a Golden Plover, 9 Wigeon, 23 Shoveler, 5 Tufted Duck, 4 Pochard, 3 Grey Heron and 6 Marsh Harrier while in the Sandpits were the Black-necked Grebe, 13 Little Grebe, 12 Tufted Duck, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull and 2 Stonechat.
Out east at La Sente were 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 4 Teal, 2 Moorhen, 27 Little Egret, 11 Cattle Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Common Gull, 39 Redshank and 4 Greenshank.
At Queen's Valley were 13 Tufted Duck, 2 Short-toed Treecreeper, 2 Teal and 6 Chiffchaff and at Beaumont Marsh were 210 Brent Geese, 20 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 3 Shoveler, 3 Little Egret, a Curlew, 6 Siskin and a Short-toed Treecreeper.
Coming into roost at the Marina this evening were 300 mostly Pied Wagtail along with at least 20 White Wagtail.
